I play the tabla (Indian classical hand drums), which adds a different dimension to how I engage with rhythm, timing, and practice. It’s a discipline that relies on consistency and listening—qualities that often carry over into my design approach.

I also create small, process-driven animations. The animation on my homepage visualises the design process—from problem framing and user research to defining opportunities, ideating, prototyping, and evaluation. It reflects how I tend to think about design: iterative, structured, but still exploratory.
With a background in Interaction Design from IIT Bombay and Design Management from the University of Southampton, I’ve spent the last few years working across research, UX, and service design—trying to make complex systems a little more human. My work spans areas like fintech, healthcare, education, and social impact, where I’ve used research and design to improve how services are experienced on the ground.
I’m particularly interested in problems that sit at the intersection of behaviour, systems, and emotion—whether that’s designing for dementia care, rethinking student experiences, or making digital products more intuitive and inclusive.
Alongside my design work, I spend time making art - paintings, digital illustrations, and landscapes. It’s a more open-ended way of observing and interpreting the world, without the need to structure everything into outcomes or solutions.

Outside of these, I enjoy spending time in quieter environments—walking on nature trails, observing everyday interactions, and reflecting on how people engage with spaces. I also mentor students and engage in conversations around design, learning as much from those discussions as I contribute.
Hi, I am Gauri. I am a UX and Service Designer who’s curious about how people think, feel, and navigate everyday experiences.
